At the Acupressure Institute, where I took my first classes on shiatsu and tuina, they sell t-shirts and sweatshirts that say, "You have no idea what I can do/if I could get my hands on you."
It has occurred to me that many people, even my regular patients who come like clockwork every week, don't know what-all I can do for them. Having integrated Chinese medicine into my everyday life, I forget that I live in a country where less than 1% of the population has tried acupuncture at all. Even fewer folks, I bet, have tried kinesiotaping, or chakra balancing, or moxibustion (the art of warming acupoints with dried mugwort called moxa). Chinese partner stretching, a modality I adapted from my classical Chinese dance training, has been practiced on less than a dozen people in the entire world so far, unless you count the folks who took my two hour workshop at Burningman.
His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama says, "When you realize you have made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it." This blog is my attempt to remedy my oversight of providing information to those in need. Here is my attempt to let you know what I can do for you. Here you will find descriptions of all the various methods of healing I practice, on myself and other people, tips on body awareness and self-care, and personal ramblings drawn from my own experiences. Enjoy.
